AR15news - logoMagpul LogoProbably one of the easiest yet very noticeable changes you can do to your AR-15 is change the trigger guard.  The standard trigger guard is nothing special.  Just a straight piece of metal that does its job.  There are a few different companies out there that offer different trigger guard upgrades such as Knights Armament, Stark Equipment and Spike’s Tactical but the Magpul Trigger Guard is definitely the most popular one on the market.  Just try googling “AR Trigger Guard” to see what I mean.

Magpul offers two different trigger guards, the MOE (Magpul Original Equipment) Trigger Guard which is made of Polymer and the Enhanced Trigger Guard which is made of Black Anodized Aluminum.  They look exactly the same and the only difference between the two is the material they are made of.  The one I have is the MOE Trigger Guard.

The Magpul Trigger Guard is designed with a shallow V shape so that it gives you extra finger space for those times when you need to wear gloves while shooting.  Magpul designed it to be a drop in replacement of the standard AR trigger guard and fill in the usual gaps that are behind the standard AR trigger guard.  Another nice feature of the MOE Trigger Guard is that you can purchase it in Black, Flat Dark Earth, Olive Drab Green or Foliage to match the color of your other accessories on your rifle.

So as with all Magpul items, it not only looks great on your rifle but also serves an actual purpose.  The Magpul MOE Trigger Guard was easy to install and don’t want to forget that at just $8.95 it costs less than that Chinese food you ordered yesterday. 🙂  I am very happy with the look and feel of my Magpul MOE Trigger Guard and look forward to adding more Magpul equipment to my rifle.  Definitely Recommended!
