I know most of the stuff we post about on AR15NEWS is for the .223/5.56 chambered rifles but I know some of you lucky ones might also own an a .308/7.62 chambered AR. Well, for those of you who already own one or are thinking about your next Black Rifle build, SI Defense has some new items to help you out.
SI Defense has just announced that they will be offering a modular Billet Aluminum 2-piece free float rail system in Pistol, Carbine, Mid and Rifle length configurations. The pistol length version covers the gas block so you’ll have to use a low profile gas block which looks really cool. Probably the coolest part is that the rail is modular in that it has removable picatinny rails on the sides and bottom. Each kit includes the barrel nut, rails, hardware and allen wrenches. All SI Defense products are made right here in the USA!
These rails are not available just yet on SI Defense’s website but will be very soon so keep checking back. They will have an MSRP of $299-345.
