I ran across this graphic on the Geissele Automatics Facebook page today and wanted to share it with you guys. I’ll be the first to admit I have been a little out of the loop on the Geissele Super Precision Scope Mounts but this graphic surprised me as I had no idea they were offering 3 different variations of the AR15 / M4 Scope Mounts. These mounts are basically the same mounts that Geissele builds for the Unites States SOCOM (Special Operations Command) and have been getting rave reviews by those that have had their hands on them so far.
The AR-15/M4 Super Precision series of scope mounts are optimized for use with an AR-15/M4 upper. The mounting surface spans 7 picatinny sections and utilizes 4 shear lugs. These mounts use Geissele’s update of the classic nut and bolt method for clamping the mount to the picatinny rail, which is the most secure method of attaching your scope to your weapon. Each nut and bolt combination provides 1,400 pounds of clamping force, much more than any lever mounting arrangement.
The Geissele Automatics Super Precision scope mounts are available in a Standard, Extended and Hyper Extended configuration with the additional options of 30mm or 34mm ring size, a 20moa built in Cant and your choice of 7075-T6 Aluminum or 2099 Aluminum Lithium Alloy.
