About 2 weeks ago I ordered some Cerro Forge 80 Percent lower receivers from a company called Right To Bear Arms and Supply. With the uncertainty of future gun legislation, 80% lowers are a great item to have on hand but are super hard to find in-stock. The 80% lowers not only shipped the next day but they showed up at my house just a few days later. I had never purchased anything from them before but after an outstanding experience I am putting them on my “Will do business with again” list. Unfortunately, as soon as I went to write up a quick post about my experience and tell you where to get some 80% lowers…they were sold out. However, they just got a re-stock and now have Cerro Forge 80% lower receivers in-stock again and they are just $49.99 a piece.
The 80% AR-15 Lower Receiver is NOT an FFL item. These units are forged by Cerro, which produces the forgings for companies such as Colt, Spikes Tactical Daniel Defense, DPMS and other major manufacturers. No FFL is required for transfer and the only machining needed is to finish out the trigger and safety well on the lower. The ATF classifies these units as non-firearms. No registration required. These units are “finished in the white”, tumbled and are ready for either Anodizing or Cerakote finishing.
80% Lower Specs:
- 80% Machined (Just needs trigger and safety well machined)
- 7075 Aluminum
- T6 Heat Treated
- Magwells are flared and broached.
- Cerro Forge (KeyHole)
