I’ve gotten quite a few emails from people lately asking where they can get one of the cool Umbrella Corporation Weapons Research Group rifle grips that they’ve been seeing all over the internet. I’ve been using a few of these grips for a while now and they’re pretty awesome, especially when you factor in how inexpensive they are. At $19 it can’t hurt to just give it a try.
I wasn’t a huge fan of the original Magpul MOE-K grip. Don’t get me wrong. I bought one and I loved the idea of a more vertical grip but the the MOE-K was so thin that it just didn’t fit my big old banana hands. That is exactly why I’m super stoked about the new MOE-K2 grip. It’s the same size as the Magpul MOE grip and even features the same storage compartment but at a more vertical angle. This to me is what I felt they missed with the MOE-K grip. The MOE-K2 grip will be coming out in the next few months. Without a doubt I will be purchasing a few of these. I would love to see them offer a MOE-K2+ if you know what I mean. Anyways, check out the picture and details of this bad boy below.

Mission First Tactical makes some seriously sweet AR15 and AK stocks, grips and rails. Now their stuff is even more awesome because they just recently announced that they will be offering all of their parts in KRYPTEK Camo, both Highlander and Typhon patterns. They had some parts on display at SHOT Show 2013 this week and a buddy of mine was there to get a pic for me. I don’t know about you but I really love the look of these with the KRYPTEK pattern. With SHOT Show 2013 on the horizon most companies are being very tight lipped about their new products that they are announcing at SHOT. This always makes early January an interesting time for us. Luckily Stark Equipment wanted to give you guys an exclusive Sneak Peek at two brand new Foregrips they are introducing. Both of these new grips are modifications of the current full size SE-3 Vertical Foregrip which I’ve handled and like. The new grips will be available for purchase next month. The first new grip is the SE-4 which is a shortened version of the SE-3. It still retains the storage compartment (just a bit shorter) and sturdiness of the original SE-3 though. One of the things I like most about the SE-3 is that it has a pretty agressive texture. Many foregrips don’t have enough but the SE-4 will have the same texturing.
The SE-4 Compact Hand Grip is a streamlined version of our full sized grip for those with a need for a lower profile fore grip. This light weight grip allows the shooter to grip the fore end several ways without added weight or bulk on the hand guard. This ArmorSoft tm coated grip can be used as a hand stop while gripping the hand guard or simply as an indexing point. We’ve added more textured surface to the lower end for a reliable grip and retained a small storage space inside. The SE-4 Compact Hand Grip is designed to easily and securely fasten to the standard 20mm / picatinney rails of AR-15, M-4 and AR Rifles. Available in Black, Earth, Green and MultiCam camouflage pattern.
The second grip to be introduced is the SE-5 which is a much more radical take on the SE-3. With the popularity of the “thumb over bore” shooting style, many manufacturers have been introducing versions of the foregrip that are angled back towards the shooter. This gives the shooter a more comfortable angle when shooting this style as it requires your hand to be positioned further towards the muzzle. Also, as it states in the press release info below, it also gives you a comfortable grip at a low ready position. Looks like another nice option in this category of forward grips.
The SE-5 Express Grip is specifically designed for shooters who train and operate with the support hand well forward on the hand guard or rails. The further forward the weapon is gripped the easier it is to manage recoil. This unique design allows the shooter to move, or “drive” the gun from target to target or engage a moving target more efficiently. The nature of the thumbs forward grip is to evenly distribute the most mass around the circumference of the grip and barrel. This grip allows the shooter’s shoulders to remain squared up, with elbows in and thumbs forward while driving the gun toward the threat for increased accuracy during dynamic situations. The Express Grip allows the users forearm and hand to remain in a more natural position whether held extended and on-target or at the low ready position, allowing the forward hand and forearm to assume a “radically normal” position providing ease of movement, comfort and quicker action than any other grip. This ArmorSoft coated grip is comfortable – in stark contrast to other vertical fore grips – comfortable enough to hold in position during long waiting periods, whether in a dynamic situations or sport hunting. The SE-4 Compact Hand Grip is designed to easily and securely fasten to the standard 20mm/ picatinney rails of AR- 15, M-4 style AR Rifles. Available in Black, Earth, Green and MultiCam camouflage pattern.
These two new grips are going to be introduced at SHOT Show 2013 in Las Vegas, NV next week and will be available for purchase in February. Its been a while since I posted about any new AR-15 accessories from GG&G so it was nice to see this new grip pop up on my radar. GG&G just announced a brand new Vertical Fore Grip called the SFG-1 Short Vertical Grip. I think you can figure out that it is a “Short Vertical Grip” as the name indicates. The SFG-1 is made of lightweight polymer and is designed to mount to a 1913 picatiny rail system. It also has a small storage compartment which will presumably fit something the size of a CR123 battery in it. Best of all the SFG-1, like all GG&G products, is MADE IN THE USA!!
