**Press Release**

Melville, NY (February 13,2016) – Nikon doubles down on its commitment to American shooters with the introduction of the new BLACK riflescope series-a new category of dedicated optics with models engineered for both precision long-range rifle and action-shooting AR enthusiasts.

For the precision rifle shooter, Nikon’s BLACK X1000 is offered in a range of 4-16×50 and 6-24×50 models with X-MRAD or X-MOA tactical-style reticles synchronized to elevated windage and elevation turrets. Accurate and repeatable, the adjustments enable precise dialing of elevation come ups and wind compensation, while each of the new reticle designs present the shooter with a visually clean, yet highly functional and advanced tool for estimating range or maintaining holdovers.

Shooters looking for rapid-action targeting capability with AR/MSR platforms can rely on the new BLACK FORCE1000 1-4×24 riflescope with capped turrets and SpeedForce reticle.  When the riflescope is dialed down to its true 1x magnification, the reticle’s illuminated double horseshoe center portion serves as quick reference for reaction-speed target acquisition and engagement, as well as for establishing moving target leads.  The SpeedForce MOA reticle also integrates BDC circles and hash marks for precise intermediate-range target holdovers.

The new BLACK series reticles can be applied to virtually any shooting application, regardless of caliber or ballistic performance and can be further optimized for specific shooting situations utilizing Nikon’s Spot On Ballistic Match Technology.

BLACK series riflescopes all feature a 30mm main body tube built with aircraft-grade aluminum alloy and Type 3 hard anodizing, providing exceptional ruggedness and optimum strength-to-weight ratios. Each riflescope has an optical system built from Nikon’s lead- and arsenic-free glass Eco-Glass, which is optimized with the company’s full multilayer coating on all air-to-glass lens surfaces. Spring-loaded instant zero-reset turrets provide precise, repeatable corrections on all BLACK riflescope models. And like all Nikon riflescopes, the new BLACK series is backed by the company’s No Fault policy for repair or replacement.

Nikon’s new BLACK riflescope series will be available Spring 2017, with the full range of models shown here: www.nikonsportoptics.com

One of the most complete AR riflescope lines has expanded even further with the release of Nikon’s new M-223 1.5-6×24 BDC 600.  This new M-223 is made with a 30mm main body tube, giving it a wider adjustment range.  There is also an illuminated reticle version, making this compact riflescope even more effective in low-light situations.   Both of the new M-223 1.5-6×24 riflescopes come with Nikon’s BDC 600 reticle that is calibrated for the trajectory of the .223 Remington/5.56mm NATO round with 55-grain bullet.  It offers shooters unique open circle aiming points at 100-yard intervals and additional hash-marks at 50-yard intervals to effectively compensate for bullet drop.

When the illumination feature is turned off, the last brightness level is saved.  The illuminated reticle operates on a 3V lithium battery.   The M-223 line utilizes Nikon’s Ultra ClearCoat® optical system that provides shooters with a bright, sharp and incredibly flat sight picture. These riflescopes are also waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof, and are covered by Nikon’s limited lifetime warranty. MSRP for the M-223 1.5-6×24 is $599.95 for the non-illuminated model (Item #8474) and is $799.95 for the illuminated reticle version (Item #8475).

All of Nikon’s M-223’s will now be compatible with interchangeable Spot On Custom Turrets. The Spot On Custom Turrets allow users to calibrate their riflescope to match bullet drop for virtually any factory or custom load. Each Spot On Custom Turret is based on ballistic information entered on the online ordering page (spoton.nikonsportoptics.com). This is getting to be a real regular occurrence for Nikon.  Today Nikon introduced their latest P-Series rifle scope.  The new P-223 4-12×40 is going to appeal to those interested in a scope with longer range capabilities.  This new scope will feature the same BDC 600 reticle as the rest of the scopes in the P-Series line.  One of the most appealing parts of the P-Series Scopes line is the ability to get a great quality scope at a very affordable price.  The new P-223 4-12×40 will retail for just $249.95 and will be available soon.

Nikon Unveils New P-223 Long Range Riflescope With Dual Ballistic Compensation

Nikon has expanded its line of precision optics for MSR platform rifles by adding a new magnification to the popular P-223 riflescope.  Now available in 4-12×40 with BDC 600 reticle, the new P-223 makes any AR rifle more effective at longer ranges.

Nikon P-223 4-12x40 BDC 1

The P-223 4-12×40 comes in matte finish and is built with Fully Multicoated lenses.  For the first time, one riflescope provides a choice between two different methods of bullet drop compensation.

One way to compensate for bullet drop at long ranges is by using the BDC 600 reticle with open circle aiming points and hash marks from 100 to 600 yards. The BDC 600 reticle was developed specifically for the trajectory of the .223 Rem. / 5.56 NATO round with 55-grain polymer tip bullet and is most effective when used with Spot On Ballistic Match Technology.

The other way to compensate for bullet drop is by using Nikon’s Rapid Action Turret system that allows shooters to dial in their distances and hold the BDC reticle’s horizontal crosshair directly on the target.  Distances as far as 100 to 600 yards can be dialed in, making the Rapid Action Turret system a quick and easy option for long range shooting.

There is now an added feature on the new P-223 that makes field adjustments easier than ever before.  With Nikon’s spring-loaded instant zero-reset turrets, just sight in at 100 yards, then lift the adjustment knob, rotate to your “zero,” and re-engage.  These turrets are set for precise ¼-inch adjustments and maintain their setting, even against repeated recoil.

The P-223 has a quick focus eyepiece to easily bring the reticle into focus.  It also provides a generous 3.7 inches of eye relief for safe, comfortable shooting.  The P-223 4-12×40 is waterproof, fogproof, and has an MSRP of $249.95.

Like all Nikon riflescopes, the P-223 is optimized for use with Spot On Ballistic Match Technology.  The Spot On program provides users with exact aiming points on the BDC reticle for any load or ammunition at a specified range.  Spot On is free online at nikonhunting.com/spoton but it can also be purchased for mobile devices, including the iPhone®, iPad® and Android™ platforms.

The P-223 is also compatible with Spot On Custom Turrets that allows shooters to order customized engraved turrets that are calibrated to match bullet drop for virtually any factory or custom handload. Spot On Custom Turrets make it easy to dial out to extended ranges and still keep your crosshairs centered on the target.  Order yours today at nikonhunting.com.

Nikon also offers the P-Series Mount that conveniently fits all P-223 riflescopes. Developed for Picatinny rails found on most flattop AR rifles, this two-piece design allows proper height and positioning of the scope, while its lightweight-but-strong alloy construction holds up under the most brutal conditions. The MSRP for the P-Series Mount is $49.95.

Nikon has just announced a brand new option for the super affordable P-series of rifle scopes.  I personally have been using the P-223 since Nikon first introduced it last year.  I’ve been very happy with it and its hard to find anything as nice in its price range.   Now they have added that P-300 BLK to the lineup.  The P-300 BLK features the BDC SuperSub (Bullet Drop Compensator) reticle with marks compensating for drop out to 600 yards and is calibrated for both Super and Subsonic rounds.  All P-series scopes feature very nice resettable Tactical Turrets, fully mutlicoated lenses and are fog and waterproof.  Probably one of the most attractive aspects of the P-series of scopes is that they retail for just $199.95.  Look for these coming to retailers online and near you soon.  For more details, read the official press release HERE.

With the popularity of the AR-15 and rifles in general finding affordable optics really isn’t that hard to do any more.  What is hard to do is find affordable optics that are actually any good.  Everywhere you look you’ll see some guy at the range with an AR-15.  On that AR is typically an optic that’s more suited for Airsoft than anything else.  Fortunately for us Nikon has come out with the M-223 line of very high quality tactical/hunting scopes designed specifically for the AR-15.  The most recent model to be added to the lineup is the M-223 4-16×42 AR riflescope.  This is a great option for those who needed a bit longer range capability out of their scope.  Check out the details below.    Continue reading “NEW!! More and more we’ve been getting the question “Where can I find a good quality scope for my AR-15 without breaking the bank?”.  That’s not always an easy answer but my first recommendation is always “Check out Nikon.  They make great affordable glass!”.  Well apparently Nikon wants to make sure that even more AR-15 owners can afford their awesome scopes and have come out with two new scopes designed with the .223/5.56 round in mind that will retail for less than $200.  The P-223 3-9×40 is outfitted with their BCD 600 reticle while the P-223 3×32 is features their BDC Carbine Reticle.  Both are also equipped with another nice upgrade over your conventional inexpensive scope which is the Tactical-style Zero Reset Turrets.  The “BANG” for your buck on these are going to be tough to beat.  Check out the pics and specs below!  Continue reading “2 NEW!! Nikon P-223 BDC AR-15 Rifle Scopes UNDER $200” »
