Recently I had the opportunity to have Joint Force Enterprises do a complete Cerakote job on one of my blasters and I wanted to give you guys a look at the results. This is something I had been wanting to do for a long time so I was really excited to finally do it. I sent them a new San Tan Tactical receiver set, a Geissele Automatics SMR MK3 rail, VLTOR EMOD stock, a Magpul MOE K2 grip and a couple awesome HexMag 30 round mags so they could coat them and then I would assemble them into a complete rifle.
I left the color choice up to JFE since they are a lot more experienced with making Black Rifles look awesomely not Black. They chose to do their Grey #5 Cerakote, kind of reminds me of a cement color, and I couldn’t be happier with the color.
One thing I wasn’t sure about was how well the Mags, Grip and Stock were going to turn out. I know people Cerakote rails and receivers all the time but you don’t see a lot of Cerakoted plastic parts. JFE did such a great job on them. It literally looks like a factory color. They’re not shiny or slippery at all. Just perfect.
The coating and shade were extremely consistent across all of the parts that I had them coat for me. There were no missed spots or spots that needed to be touched up, etc. It was absolute perfection. All of the components fit back together without issue. The mags still dropped free and the ambi controls function just as if they came off the shelf at San Tan Tactical.
To finish off this build I used the Joint Force Enterprises 16″ 416R Stainless Steel Match barrel with a 1/7 twist, San Tan Tactical STT-15 Pillar billet set, ADK Enhanced BCG, GLTactical Commander Muzzle Brake, Geissele SMR MK3 rail, Magpul MBUS Pro sights and MOE K2 grip, VLTOR EMOD stock, HexMag HEX30 mags, CMC Triggers 3.5lb Flat Trigger, IWC QD End Plate, Fortis Gas Block and an Aimpoint PRO in an American Defense Mfg QD mount.
If you’re at all looking for a company to add some life to your boring old Black Rifle, be sure to hit up Joint Force Enterprises. They do a fantastic job as you can see. Soon I’ll be doing a review on the JFE 16″ 416R SS 1/7 Match barrel so be on the look out for that article. Below are some links to check out the products I used in this build.
