SNEAK PEEK!! NEW ECM Guns Billet AR15 Lower

Here is just a sneak peek look at the new ECM Guns billet AR15 lower receiver.  ECM Guns is based out of Hawaii and is hoping to have their new billet lower available for purchase by the end of this month.  Billet receivers are some of my favorite because they offer completely different looks than the standard forged lowers.  This thing looks totally awesome.  Appears to feature a super flared magwell, integrated trigger guard and some unique lines particularly around the mag release and front take down pin. 

There is no official marketing information but I do know if will be machined from 7075 T6 billet aluminum.  As I stated before, they are hoping to have this available for purchase by the end of the month.  Looks like the price range should be in the $350 range.  I will keep you guys posted as soon as production pics come in and details on how to order one comes out.  Until then you’ll just have to check out these pics.

DS Arms just announced a new Stainless Steel M4 Upper.  Lately it seems like I’ve been hearing lots of people asking about barrels with Stainless Steel finishes instead of the Black.  Well, here you go!  You can choose between the assembled upper receiver group (no BCG or CH) or just the barrel assembly itself.  The upper receiver group is basically ready to be installed on your standard AR-15 lower with the needed components still being the BCG, CH, and sights.  If you are building your AR from scratch or just upgrading, the barrel assembly is a good option.  It comes with the barrel, barrel nut, front sight post and the handguard cap.  I’ve personally not had any experience with DSA parts but I’ve heard some great reviews.  Check out these two new options below.

Barrel:  16″ Chrome-lined, chrome moly vanadium.  Chambered in 5.56 NATO, with a 1/7 twist, M4 barrel extension, and a carbine-length gas system.   The M4 profile barrel  is magnetic particle inspected and then phosphate coated to mil-specs.  Barrel is finished off with an F-marked front sight post with sling swivel,  MOE handguards, an A2 flash hider and MBUS.  Specify MOE Color on the dropdown.  If there is no choice the color not listed is sold out.

Upper:Forged 7075-T6 A3 AR upper is hard coat anodized black for durability. Featuring M4 feedramp cuts, T-marks, but no logo, these upper upper receivers are made for us right here in the USA.

Now Available – NEW!! Geissele Automatics Super Modular Rail (SMR)

At SHOT Show 2012 Geissele Automatics announced that they were coming out with a new modular rail system for the AR-15/M4.  The initial pictures of the new rail looked very promising.  This was very exciting news as everyone already knows that Geissele Automatics makes hands down some of the most amazing,  high quality triggers around.  A few months ago their HK version of this rail but still nothing for the AR-15.  Well, to the pleasure of many people anxiously waiting, Geissele announced just yesterday that the SMR (Super Modular Rail) is now available in 13″ and 15″ lengths.  There’s not a ton of information available just yet as they aren’t even up on the website yet but we’ll keep you posted as more details become available.  For now you can check out the pics and specs listed below.  Click the images to enlarge them!   Continue reading “Now Available – NEW!!
