You may have noticed that AR-15 parts are just about impossible to get a hold of right now. The main thing most manufacturers are focusing on is lower receivers and they are becoming more and more easy to find. The hardest to find right now are BCG’s and Uppers. Barrel: 16″, mil-spec chrome moly vanadium steel, M4 profile, 5.56 NATO chamber with a 1:7 twist , chrome-lined bore, Proof tested and magnetic particle inspected, carbine-length gas system, and M4 feedramps. Barrels are made for us right here in South Carolina by FN Manufacturing and are finished off with a taper pinned, f-marked, front sight post, standard handguards, and an A2 flash hider.
Upper: Forged 7075-T6 A3 AR upper is made to MIL-SPECS and hard coat anodized black for durability. Featuring machined T marks, and a mil-spec finish. These uppers are made for us right here in the USA by a mil-spec manufacturer.
Each upper is assembled to order with care, and test fired. Bolt carrier group and charging handle not included.

At SHOT Show 2012 Geissele Automatics announced that they were coming out with a new modular rail system for the AR-15/M4. The initial pictures of the new rail looked very promising. This was very exciting news as everyone already knows that Geissele Automatics makes hands down some of the most amazing, high quality triggers around. A few months ago their HK version of this rail but still nothing for the AR-15. Well, to the pleasure of many people anxiously waiting, Geissele announced just yesterday that the SMR (Super Modular Rail) is now available in 13″ and 15″ lengths. There’s not a ton of information available just yet as they aren’t even up on the website yet but we’ll keep you posted as more details become available. Whether you’re new to the AR world and trying to piece together your first one or already have one or two AR’s and just want add a great budget upper to the collection this latest combo deal by Palmetto State Armory should peak your interest.
