Fortis Manufacturing introduced a neat new rail at SHOT Show back in January called the Night Rail. The Night Rail utilizes a new patent pending two piece barrel nut that creates a full 360 degrees of contact with the inside of the rail instead of a clamping the rail onto the barrel nut or using screws. This also makes installation very simple as the barrel nut does not need to be timed. Just tighten to the upper, slide the rail on and expand the barrel nut. Rainier Arms has secured the first run of rails and is offering them at an exclusive introductory price. This first run is for the 12″ version. They do plan on offering 7″, 9″, 12″, 14″ and 15″ versions. Check out the pics below. There is an informative installation video at the link below if you are wanting to see how this installs as well.
When designing the Night Rail™, we wanted to design a handguard that was easy to install, but also to be able to mount with a full 360 degrees of contact. Our new patent pending two piece barrel nut is one of a kind. We developed this from the ground up and the machining time it takes to make the barrel nut, rivals the time making the actual rail. That’s not to say the rail is simple to make. One look and you’ll see that we really took time with this in design and development. What we ended up with is a rail that not only looks amazing, but is still true to our lightweight brand. The barrel nut/mounting system keeps the rail performing even during the harshest conditions.
Being one of the leaders in the industry of rail innovation and design, it’s always a challenge to innovate new products that function well, but look great also. We’re up for the challenge with the next chapter of our product line – the Night™ Series. I think you’ll agree that we hit a homerun with the Night Rail™.

FALKOR Defense has been on a hot pace, introducing one new product after another and I think you’ll see that continue throughout 2016 for them. After their huge showing at SHOT last month they came home and got back to work. First up is this new “King” Breacher Muzzle Brake. The “King” is designed for use on barrels with a 5/8-24 thread and .30-Cal ammunition such as 300BLK or .308. As with all FALKOR Defense components and rifles, this thing is built to withstand a lifetime of abuse and then some. Read more about the “King” Breacher Muzzle Brake below, then head on over to www.FALKORDefense.com to purchase one for yourself.
FALKOR Defense “King” Breacher
The “King” Breacher muzzle brake is designed with two elements in mind; kicking ass and minimizing recoil and muzzle rise. The “King” is designed specifically for .30-cal “battle rifles” utilizing a simple two port design with a diffused front baffle to help reduce back pressure. The unique 2-port tapered design combined with an internal variable diameter chamber maximizes the efficiency of gas pressure distribution while the port shape redirects the flow to eliminate muzzle rise. All FALKOR muzzle brakes are machined from 12L14 Steel and case hardened to a Rockwell hardness of 50c before the black Nitride finish process to insure longevity of the baffle integrity. The result is a simple and effective brake that will withstand the abuse of .30-caliber semi-auto use while sustaining precision on target.
*comes with a 5/8″ crush washer for installation
Weight: 3.01 oz
Threads: 5/8 – 24 TPI (standard .30-cal)
Coating: Black Nitride
At SHOT Show 2016, Agency Arms announced a partnership between themselves and PWS (Primary Weapon Systems) to offer the Agency Arms Project CLASSIFIED DI rifle. I got permission to share the following photos that as far as I know have not been fully published yet. Aaron Cowan of Sage Dynamics and Agency Arms said this regarding the new rifle…
“Everybody knows there’s ARs all over the place. Why would you choose one brand over another brand? Quality is quality. But there are features on the AR platform that can be improved and when people get together and start thinking about them they find new ways to do things that some people just didn’t think of before. Some times its a little fix, some times its something potentially revolutionary. Not gonna use the word game changer but what I will say is this rifle brings a lot of value added products to the platform that are gonna be something that you might prefer in a rifle system if you’re looking for a new one.” – Aaron Cowan, Sage Dynamics
– The upper and lower receiver appear to be billet but it is a lightened forged receiver set.
– 14.5″ 416 Stainless Lithium Isolated Barrel
– Chambered in .223 Wylde with a 1:8 Twist, Medium Weight Profile
– Midlength Gas System
– Ambidextrous controls with ambi mag release, bolt release, short throw ambi safety and charging handle
– CLASSIFIED 13.4″ Rail

F-1 Firearms had some really sweet looking rifles in their SHOT Show booth. Many of the rifles they showcased featured finishes by some of the best Cerakote guys in the business such as BlownDeadLine (BDL Custom Finish). The BDR-15 3G rifles really stood out with their cool skeletonized receivers and rails.
They also introduced their new BDR-10 receiver sets (we were the first to offer a sneak peek here) which will definitely create some sweet looking big bore builds.
You can follow F-1 Firearms on their social media channels below as well as their website.

I recently built a Quarter Circle 10 9mm AR and am kind of obsessed with the pistol caliber ARs. The one I built uses Glock mags which is cool since I carry a Glock but another reason I like it is that its pretty inexpensive to shoot and is a nice change from the standard AR. This year at SHOT Show, QC10 had some new components to show off including a new KeyMod handguard, a lower that takes MP5 mags and a new Side Charging upper. They announced that they will be creating lowers that take mags for the Sig 226, 229 and M&P and they will also be offering complete guns with pre-orders starting next week .
The new KeyMod hand guards look pretty awesome. They definitely have their own unique style which is a good thing. Too many rails out there look pretty much the same. No ETA or price range yet.

Here’s a look at the Side Charging upper that QC10 partnered up with VLTOR on. This particular one is a prototype but gives you a good idea of what the final model will look like.

Last but definitely not least, that MP5 lower!! QC10 will be growing their list of mag compatible lowers this year to include MP5 mags, Sig 226 and 229 mags and Smith & Wesson M&P mags.

Definitely exciting to see Quarter Circle 10 growing so much and really just killing it with their new products. If you’re interested in building or buying a Pistol Caliber AR, Quarter Circle 10 is the company to watch this year!!
FALKOR Defense really wowed a ton of people this week at SHOT Show this week. They unveiled a number of new products including their new “OPTIMUS” PDW stock, FALKOR Defense bipod, showing off the PETRA 300WM and of course the new #BALLSOHARDER movie.
The OPTIMUS PDW stock is such a cool stock. Unlike most PDW stocks, the OPTIMUS only uses one guide rod which is on the bottom, instead of on the sides. With a push of a button you can extend the stock and then the butt pad flips up.
FALKOR also introduced their new bipod. I don’t have a ton of information on the bipod just yet but it definitely looks awesome.
Of course the PETRA 300WM rifle was center stage at the FALKOR Defense booth. The PETRA 300WM is touted as the “softest shooting 300wm rifle out there” and the videos they’ve shown of it, that is probably true. A couple different models of PETRA 300WM rifles were recently released for order.
Last but not leasts is the #BALLSOHARDER movie. This was a big collaboration between FALKOR Defense and a bunch of other industry partners. You can watch the video by clicking on the image below.
If you looked close at SHOT Show you just might have spotted the .308 Hexmag magazine. I haven’t heard any official dates as to when Hexmag will be introducing the .308 magazine but it sure it awesome to see that they are actively working on the magazines. Below are the pictures of a couple of .308 Hexmags shown at SHOT Show.

Faxon Firearms was at SHOT Show this year. They showed off some really cool stuff including their Holding Precision Firearms rifles as well as the much anticipated ARAK-31 (.308) version of the ARAK.
For Holding Precision Firearms they featured the Wraith rifle. It has a really cool Carbon Fiber handguard, the Curse dual chamber muzzle brake, billet receivers and even a Carbon Fiber stock. http://faxonfirearms.com/brands/Houlding.html
Of course, everyone wants to see the Faxon Firearms ARAK-31 .308 rifle. It appears they’ve made some nice improvements so far including the ambi charging handle that can be used at the same time as the standard folding charging handle. The ARAK-31 features an ambi ejection port meaning the end user can rotate the bolt 180 degrees and choose which side they would like the rifle to eject on. Another nice touch is the M-LOK attachment method on the rail as well as the QD sling attachment points. Not sure when the release date is but lets hope it’s soon! http://faxonfirearms.com/arak/arak-31-308-win/

This week at SHOT Show in Las Vegas, Centurion Arms sneakily introduced two new versions of their extremely popular CMR rail in the Magpul and BattleComp booths. The CMR rail is a very slim, rugged, tubular rail. It features threaded holes every couple of inches to bolt the CMR rail covers, hand stops, etc to but most accessories made by other companies are designed to attach to 1913 quad rails, KeyMod rails or M-LOK rails. Now you can get the CMR in your choice of KeyMod or M-LOK as well.
Now that you can choose KeyMod or M-LOK, it really opens up a whole new world of usable accessories you can attach to your CMR rail. I’ve got a ton of grips, light mounts, hand stops, rail sections, rail covers, etc. just waiting for an awesome rail like this. I immediately installed the CMR M-LOK rail on my CIV Tactical SPR build. The ability to add a picatinny rail for my bipod via M-LOK (or KeyMod for that matter) is quick and painless.
The overall profile of the new CMR KeyMod and M-LOK rails is very similar to the original CMR and still features anti-rotation tabs. The barrel nut is also very similar, in fact the new rail will mount to an older CMR barrel nut, but Centurion Arms actually modified the new barrel nut to be able to tighten them using a standard AR-15 castle nut wrench.
The production model CMR KeyMod and M-LOK rails will have QD Sling Mounts at the front and rear of the rail on each side just like the original (the ones in my photos were pre-production) and will be available in both 15″ (shown) and 13″ models.
MSRP on the new rails will run $240 for a 15″ and $230 for a 13″. Centurion Arms will start taking pre-orders at the beginning of February at an introductory price of just $200 for a 15″ or $195 for a 13″ and start shipping units around the end of February. Centurion Arms is an awesome company owned and operated by a retired Navy SEAL. Lets show them some support! Be sure to follow Centurion Arms on their social media outlets listed below to know when the pre-orders start.

I’m super excited about the new Silverback 300BLK subsonic ammo from Gorilla Ammunition. Many hunters feel the usual 300BLK subsonic isn’t that great of a round to hunt with but this stuff should fix that. Gorilla’s created 30oBLK subsonic ammo featuring solid copper CNC machined projectiles that will expand on impact where most 300BLK subsonic won’t. I’ve seen some ballistic gel test video and its very impressive. They also have 380ACP and 45ACP available in the Silverback lineup. Read the press release below.

A leader in the modern sporting rifle accessory world and always ahead of the game with revolutionary designs such as their SWITCH rail attachment system; Fortis manufacturing has done it again with their new Night Rail. Utilizing a brand new 2 barrel nut design which uses a flange on inner barrel nut, the outer barrel nut is tightened against the rail – locking it in place. The rail features MLOK slots, QD attachment point at the front and rear and a full length picatinny rail on top – the front of the rail itself is wide enough to accommodate their recently released CONTROL Concussion reduction device.
Available end of first quarter of 2016
