Browe LogoIf you’re a fan of the 300AAC Blackout round like I am I think you’ll really appreciate this new reticle option for the BROWE, Inc BCO (BROWE Combat Optic).  As we’ve discussed many times before, the 300 AAC Blackout round is basically the easiest way to get a larger caliber round out of your AR without having to completely rebuild the rifle and it also shoots amazingly well suppressed when using Subsonic rounds.  The new 300AAC Blackout reticle for the BROWE BCO features an illuminated horseshoe with a smaller dot in the center of it and an enhanced BDC (Bullet Drop Compensator) guides for both Subsonic and Supersonic ammunition on either side.  Another neat feature is the horizontal range estimation lines at each BDC mark that represent 19″ across at that specific range which is approximately the shoulder width of a grown man.  Below, I’ve copied the press release and images of the reticle that BROWE, Inc sent to me last night.  Click on the images to enlarge them.  Take a few minutes to read the press release and then head on over to to take a look at the rest of their models.

MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. (September 1, 2012) – Browe-Inc., manufacturer of premium quality optical systems for military, law enforcement, hunting and the shooting sports, today announced that it has released the latest reticle pattern for the 4×32 BROWE Combat Optic (BCO), the horseshoe and Dot for the ACC .300 Blackout.

BROWE BCO 300AAC Blackout Reticle 1

The 4×32 BCO .300 Blackout reticle is based on the popular horseshoe and dot style reticle and provides a bullet drop compensated (BDC) reticle for both the subsonic and supersonic ammunition. The 7 MOA horseshoe has a 5 MOA inner dimension and provides an illuminated 2 MOA wide ring for quick target acquisition. The center 1 MOA dot gives the operator that precision shot and was designed to be zeroed at 100m with the supersonic round or 25m with the subsonic round. For long range precision, the 4×32 BCO .300 Blackout reticle features a BDC reticle that ranges out to 900m for the supersonic and out to 400m for the subsonic. The horizontal stadia lines represent 19” at the indicated ranges. The reticle also offers a horizontal mil scale that has an overall length of 30 mils, with indicators every 5 mil.

Color options:
The 4×32 BCO .300 blackout reticle is available in four color options including amber, blue, green, or red. As standard with all the 4×32 BCO’s the illumination is controlled automatically with the BCO Target Light Sensor Technology. The target light transmission is measured and automatically adjusts the reticle to the proper illumination level. The 4×32 BCO also features a manual override if a consistent light level is required.
