AIM Surplus has been putting together some sweet complete uppers lately and this one should be nothing less. This is a complete upper so it comes with a BCG and Charging Handle unlike what many other companies are doing lately. In addition to the fact that it comes with the BCG and CH, it also features some very nice, name brand components such as a 16″ Cold Hammer Forged barrel from Daniel Defense and a Daniel Defense MFR 9.0 which is their modular freefloat rail. This is a midlength gas system so they were able to install the standard A2 front sight as well. Barrel Details
Cold Hammer Forging of barrels has been known for decades to produce the most accurate, longest lasting rifle barrels obtainable. The Cold Hammer Forging of barrels is accomplished through intense hydraulic pressure applied at opposing angles by carbide steel hammers. During the hammering process, a mandrel is inserted into the bore while the carbide steel hammers shape the barrel around the mandrel creating the chamber, the lands, and the grooves. In addition to the aforementioned benefits, the Cold Hammer Forging process creates a defect free bore and the most consistent chamber possible.
Modular Handguard Details
The MFR 9.0 has been engineered to provide each shooter with the ultimate in modular adaptability. Should the shooter desire, the tube can be run “slick” with an unitterupted top rail that runs the length of the tube. In addition, the installation of Modular Picatinny Rails is accomplished with little effort. This allows you to have rails anywhere you need them and nowhere you don’t.

Bolt Carrier Group Details
Complete 5.56 Bolt Carrier Group. Complete with Bolt Carrier, Bolt and Firing Pin, Military Spec. Heavy Phosphate Coated, and feature a properly staked gas key. BCGs are machined from Carpenter 158 Steel. Gas Keys are also hardened. HPT/MPI Bolt Carrier has 5.3.1.2 MIL-STD-171 phosphate finish inside and out with 1.2.2.2 MIL-STD-171 hard chrome bore.
