2 Different PSA Hammer Forged Midlength 5.56 Uppers In-Stock

Right now PSA has a couple of Hammer Forged Midlength Uppers in-stock.  These are just uppers, no BCG or CH.  The barrels are what make these nice upper as they are made by FN for PSA.  Check out the details and pics below.

16″ Light profile Hammer Forged 410 Stainless Steel 5.56 NATO upper.

Barrel: 16″ hammer forged, matte finish, 410 stainless steel, 1:7 twist with a 5.56 NATO chamber, mid-length gas port, standard with M4 feedramps, and is High pressure tested and Mag particle inspected.  The barrel profile is a special ligher weight with a .750 gas block and lightened between the muzzle and the front sight base.  The upper comes standard with mid-length handguards and a taper-pinned F-marked front sight base, but you may choose from several optional free float options in the drop down.

Upper: 7075-T6 A3 AR upper is made to MIL-SPECS and hard coat anodized black for durability. Featuring machined T marks, and a milspec finish. These uppers are made for us right here in the USA by a mil-spec manufacturer, and are marked with the Palmetto State Armory logo on the left side, up front, just below the rail.

16″ Light profile Hammer Forged CMV 5.56 NATO upper.  **SOLD OUT**

Barrel:  A proprietary blend of Hammer forged chrome molly vanadium made by FN that is referred to as “Machine Gun Steel” by virtue of its required use in FN’s M249 and M240 weapons.   The hammer forging process work hardens the steel, making it more durable.  In addition, the chrome process for the bore allows for a lining almost twice as thick as a standard M16 for enhanced durability.  Chambered in 5.56 NATO, with a 1/7 twist, M4 barrel extension, and a Mid-length gas system.   The A2 lighter profile barrel allows for better balance and portability over the standard A2 profile and is Mil-spec phosphate coated, High Pressure tested and Magnetic Particle inspected.  Barrel is finished off with an F-marked front sight post with sling swivel, standard handguards and an A2 flash hider.  This is not a “pencil” barrel.

Upper: Forged 7075-T6 A3 AR upper is hard coat anodized black for durability. Featuring T-marks, but no logo, these upper upper receivers are made for us right here in the USA.

You may have noticed that AR-15 parts are just about impossible to get a hold of right now.  The main thing most manufacturers are focusing on is lower receivers and they are becoming more and more easy to find.  The hardest to find right now are BCG’s and Uppers.  I can’t necessarily help in the BCG department but if you want a great upper to add to the lower you just picked up, check out this relatively inexpensive 16″ M4 CMV upper from Palmetto State Armory for just $390.  Available at PalmettoStateArmory.com.

Not sure how long this will stay in-stock but it is right now for $629.99.  This is a great looking upper.  The only issue I see is that there is no BCG.  BCG’s are extremely hard to find right now so that is the only drawback.  But, if you’re in the market for an upper receiver that already has a great handguard, like this Midwest Industries Gen2 MI-SS, then you should definitely grab one of these.  Check them out at PalmettoStateArmory.com. 

A Railed Free float stainless upper in 223 Wylde!

Barrel:  16″   Chambered in 223 Wylde, with a 1/8 twist, M4 barrel extension, and a mid-length gas system.   The modified A2 profile barrel  is mase of 416 stainless and lead-lapped for acuracy.  Barrel is finished off with a Midwest Industries SS12G2 12″ free-float rail, low-profile gas block and an A2 flash hider.

Upper: Forged 7075-T6 Flat top AR upper is hard coat anodized black for durability. Featuring M4 feedramp cuts, T-marks,  these upper upper receivers are made for us right here in the USA.

 Each upper is assembled to order with US-made parts, and test fired to check gas function.  Does not include bolt carrier group or charging handle.  The 223 Wylde chamber allows for the use of either 5.56 or 223 ammo with enhanced accuracy over the 5.56 NATO.
