I was really excited when I heard that Impact Weapons Components was going to make a 2-To-1 Point Split-Bar Triglide. IWC’s standard 2-To-1 Point Triglide is the center piece of many convertible slings such as the TAREINCO VTP. The Split-Bar Triglide is like the Fountain of Youth for your boring old 2-Point Sling that you threw on the floor of your closet. Now that same 2-Point Sling can be made into a convertible 2-to-1 Point Sling in minutes. The guys at OneUp Design Lab, makers of the MultiTasker series of weapon specific multitools have come up with another innovative product called the Mag-Pod. The Mag-Pod is a direct replacement for the standard 30 Round PMAG floorplate that turns your PMAG into more of a Mono-Pod style stabilization tool. This may not be for everyone but for those of you who prefer to run and gun and don’t want a Bi-Pod getting in the way this might be the perfect addition. had asked if they made one for 7.62 AR’s. Well, recently they started offering their CAT-762 tool (Combat Application Tool for 7.62) which is designed to be used with the Armalite and DPMS BCG’s. Currently there are multiple different variations of the 7.62 bolt itself that the CAT-762 may not work on due to differences in the bolt tail itself. There is a larger version in the works that will work with other Big Bore AR’s though. For now if you have an Armalite or DPMS 7.62 rifle you should definitely check these out. I’ve personally used their CAT-M4 and love it. Check out the details below.
