NEW!! BCM Compensator Mod 1 5.56

Bravo Company USA a few new products ahead of SHOT Show 2013 and they look to be high quality pieces as we’ve come to expect from BCM. One of the products introduced was their much anticipated BCM Comp Mod 1 for 5.56 rifles (7.62 is coming). The BCM Comp Mod 1 has been in testing for quite a while (by guys such as Travis Haley) to ensure it performs as promised. The goal with this muzzle device is to be a well rounded comp. This means it will control recoil, muzzle rise and flash very well instead of focusing on just one or two of the three areas. The Mod 1 is also an extended version of the Mod 0 which gives it enough length to bring a 14.5″ barrel to 16″ overall when pinned and welded. SNEAK PEEK!! New Griffin Armament .308 Flash Comp

Griffin Armament just released a picture of their new .308 Flash Comp which they will be introducing at SHOT Show 2013. They already have a pretty impressive line of Suppressors, Comps and Flash Hiders. The .308 Flash Comp is a non-suppressor mount but is very similar to their M4SD II Flash Comp which is currently available for 5.56 chambered rifles. With a 5/8×24 thread pattern this should be compatible with most 7.62 variant barrels including my favorite, 300AAC Blackout. Based on the sizing in the photo below, the .308 Flash Comp (on the right) would be plenty long enough to bring a 14.5″ barrel to 16″ overall if you pinned and welded it as the 5.56 model (on the left) is 2.25″ long. If you’re headed to SHOT Show in Vegas be sure to stop by and check these guys out. Otherwise it sounds like these should be available very soon.

NEW!! Aggressive Looking “Pigsticker” Comp From PSA

I’m not sure how well this new comp works as I’ve never used one but they definitely look pretty fierce. The Pigsticker Comp features 50 holes that redirect the blast upwards which, as the name “Comp” indicates, compensates for muzzle rise to assist in quick target acquisition for faster followup shots. There are already a few comps on the market that use many holes to redirect the blast gases such as BattleComp, Spikes Tactical and Ares Armor. PSA decided to add some very aggressive personal deterrent prongs on the end of the comp as well to make it stand out a bit. The details says its just over 2 inches long.
